Working across a variety of media (including photography, drawing, installation, and video) Theresia Lynch uses fragments of her own experiences as her main theoretic catalyst, but she also draws inspiration from old Swedish poems, scenes from Ingmar Bergman films, contemporary adverts, news stories and fashion magazines. Her intricate works are often densely layered, dream-like, melancholic and integrate references to the lonely silence of her native Swedish winters, the penetrating pale light of the summer months and the allure of all things restrained, cold and slightly withdrawn. Her work has been exhibited internationally.
