Laura Dekker will present two performative installations at NHTV in Breda, Netherlands, later this month, as part of on-going research by Licia Calvia at NHTV into how people interact with art works in public spaces. As well as the recent work ‘Forking Paths’, Laura has created a new Kinect-controlled ‘video jukebox’. The new piece is a participatory and interactive projected installation, in which local people have been invited to send in short videos; visitors (including the video makers themselves) control which videos get played at any time, by physically interacting in the projection space.
